This Website is a service provided to all those interested in human rights education.
Your Registration Obligations and Supervising Children

For this reason, parents or teachers who wish to allow their children or pupils access to the Service should assist them in setting up any relevant accounts and supervise their access to the Service. Journey to Justice is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered No: 1170886. The principal office of the CIO is in England.
Our charitable purposes are:
To promote human rights (as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and subsequent United Nations conventions and declarations) all over the world by all or any of the following means:
- researching into human rights issues and supporting cross community groups to tell untold stories of local history relating to human rights issues;
- educating the public about human rights through organising education and arts programmes;
- raising awareness of human rights issues through running training courses for adults and young people;
- promoting public support of human rights issues through national programmes in partnership with local community groups; and
- promoting respect for human rights among individuals and corporations by telling powerful stories of the role of individuals in effecting social change.
To promote equality and diversity for the public benefit by: advancing education and raising awareness in equality and diversity and promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds.
To promote racial and religious harmony for the public benefit by:promoting knowledge and mutual understanding between different racial and religious groups and advancing education and raising awareness about different racial and religious groups to promote good relations between persons of different racial and religious groups.
We produce educational resources, which are provided free of charge to educators across the UK, for use in the classrooms or community settings or at exhibitions. We also organise training activities for which a fee may be charged. We create and develop exhibitions for which a fee may be charged.

We obtain information about you when you become a member or supporter of Journey to Justice, use our website and when you subscribe to our electronic newsletter or attend any of our events.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure, accurate and up to date, and that we only keep it as long as is reasonable and necessary. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place appropriate technical and organisational security measures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
We do not store your personal information other than on our Data Processors’ secure systems.
However the transmission of information over the Internet is never completely secure, so while we do our best to protect personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to the Journey to Justice website.
Who has access to your information?
Details are kept on a database which can only be accessed by the Journey to Justice director and Secretary and by our web manager when we send our e-newsletters.
Local Journey to Justice groups have designated a main contact and one other person to have access to local Journey to Justice supporters’ details only.
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so. No-one outside Journey to Justice will have access to your information except our web manager who has access to email addresses when we send the occasional e-newsletter.
Who processes your personal information?
In order to ensure the most secure systems for the handling personal information and communications we use international companies to store and process our data, all of whom are compliant with the requirements of UK data privacy law. These include:
- MailChimp as our data processor in respect to the processing, storage and analysis of our subscriber information. Unsubscribe is offered
- GoDaddy as our data processor for website hosting and Database storage.
- Google Analytics as our data processor for tracking general site traffic and usage.

How you can access and update your information

Use of ‘cookies’
