Sheila McKechnie Foundation

The Sheila McKechnie Foundation envisage a confident and powerful civil society in which people work together to drive change. The power civil society has to drive truly transformational change – in one person’s life or our entire society – is most effective when we work at our best, without unreasonable constraint. We call it ‘Social Power’. Our mission is to unleash it.

WinVisible

WinVisible is a multi-racial community group of women with visible and invisible disabilities. Through WinVisible, disabled women meet and support each other, overcome isolation and discrimination, and often win what we are entitled to. We provide self-help information and advocacy, on benefits, accessing health, transport and support services, on homecare charges and many other problems, against discrimination, including in employment.

Zero Hours Justice

We fully accept that some workers who have a separate source of income or help from wealthy parents are happy to be engaged on a zero hours contract.
